Programme Information

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Apply popular group exercise class variations to mixed ability exercise clients
• Conduct and assess pre exercise screening information on a wide range of participants
• Assess the group exercise environment for safety and suitability including the maintenance and storage of equipment.
• Recall the physical, social and emotional motivation for participation in group exercise
• Identify potentially harmful exercises and why they need to be avoided
• Apply an understanding of the use of music in group exercise classes.
• Prepare plan and teach an aerobics, step, muscle conditioning stretch or circuit class.
• Develop a class lesson plan
• Correct technical errors by participants
